  • March 9, 1923 -controversy over location because of swampy conditions and no sidewalks on Lorne Avenue, lot owned by Dr. Stuart Scott
  • May 10, 1923 - motion by Dr. Boyd & Dr. Wilkinson that the name for the new school be Stuart Scott Public School
  • May 21, 1923 - moved by William Keith, seconded by A.J. Davis - That whereas the Public School Board has applied to this council for the purpose of erecting a new public school , Be it resolved that the By-Law Committee is instructed to introduce a By-Law to raise by debenture the said sum of $55,000. Said debenture to be payable in thirty years at rate percent of 5 1/2%. Adopted May 21, 1923. Second reading - August 20, 1923
  • Engineer's report for water work extension and consider grading Lorne Avenue preparatory to placing sidewalk
  • Building : Architect - Mr. O. E. Tench, Construction Company - Richardson, Construction Plans-same as Alexander Muir and King George Schools
  • Description: 3 small rooms, principal's office, storeroom, staffroom, 6 room school - 3 rooms on each of two floors, 2 basement playrooms, one for girls, one for boys, red brick building with stone facings, basement walls above ground level, cut stone facings west and south entrance
  • August 28, 1923 - LAYING THE CORNERSTONE - Sir William Mulock, K.C.B. was assisted by the Right Honourable William Lyon McKenzie King, Prime Minister of Canada. Chairman of Board, J.R.Y. Broughton presided . Rev. A.J. Mann offered prayer. Sir William Mulock used a silver trowel to put the stone in place

  • 1955 - Howlett Construction Company - Central Part, Office & four classrooms

  • 1964 - South Wing - Gymnasium, offices and 4 classrooms

  • 1972 - Joined with King George under one principal

  • 1975 - Library and reconstruction of a classroom for a new office and staffroom

  • 1994 - Joined with J.L.R. Bell under one principal
